Governor Kelly Armstrong Announces First Round of Endorsements Ahead of June Primary

May 5, 2026 | Press Release

BISMARCK, ND – Governor Kelly Armstrong today announced his first round of endorsements ahead of the June 9th Republican Primary, emphasizing the importance of electing conservative leaders committed to cutting property taxes, growing the economy, and protecting North Dakota’s way of life.

“By working together and focusing on the issues that matter to North Dakota families, our conservative legislators have delivered meaningful, results-driven policies for our state,” Governor Armstrong said. “They passed historic property tax relief, eliminated sixteen boards and commissions to reduce wasteful spending, and prioritized education, including implementing cell phone-free schools. They continue to stand strong for our business community and the energy and agriculture industries that power our state. As these proven leaders seek reelection, I’m confident they will continue to deliver and protect our way of life.”

“I’m also encouraged by a new generation of conservative candidates stepping forward to serve,” Armstrong added. “They are committed to lowering property taxes, growing our economy, and reducing government spending. I’m proud to support this slate of candidates and encourage North Dakotans to join me in supporting them on June 9.”
