ABOUT TIM
Leading with Experience.
Tim Mihalick is a business and community leader with extensive experience in executive management and public governance. He currently serves as Senior Vice President at First Western Bank & Trust, responsible for business development and facilities.
Previously, Tim spent more than 36 years with IRET and its affiliated companies, serving the final eight years as President and CEO of a publicly traded NYSE-listed company. His experience working at the highest levels of business, combined with extensive state-level governance, prepares him to represent District 3 effectively in Bismarck.
Tim has also served extensively in higher education leadership, including as Past Chair and current member of the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education (2019–2027) and current Vice Chair of the Midwest Higher Education Compact (MHEC), a 12-state organization dedicated to advancing higher education.
Tim has long been involved in the Minot community, serving in leadership roles with the Minot Family YMCA, Minot State University Board of Regents, Trinity Health, Norsk Høstfest, and the Minot Area Community Foundation.
District 3 deserves leaders who represents their values, listens, and will work with them to ensure our community, region and state continue to thrive. That’s why I’m proud and excited to be running with Tim to represent District 3 in the North Dakota House!
